We are mourning for Joe Mthimka, a friend and a host on our Language Excursions! Joe died last night in his home in Gugulethu. Joe we will never forget your stories and you passion about soccer. Dear Johannes and all our friends in Cape Town,
we are very shocked and sad.
Just yesterday we saw a video on “You Tube” with him.
The meeting with him is still very good memories.
His enthusiasm and momentum could be many young people a role model. He leaves a glaring omission that will be difficult to close.
In our thoughts we are with his family, with you and with all his friends.

Johannes, I just red your e-mail about what happened with Joe and I just can`t believe it. A such amazing human being, a great man, with so much passion and love for his people and his country… I`m sad, very sad! My thoughts are with his family, and with everyone who had the privilege and joy to meet and talk with Joe. Farewell “Coach”!

The meeting with him will last in my memories. Very sad to realize that he won´t be able to fascinate more strangers and turn them into friends.
